Synchronization Analysis of Neural Masses Using Coupled Wilson-Cowan Oscillators

Ponente(s): Brayan Guerra López
We investigate the synchronization properties of two coupled Wilson-Cowan oscillators representing neural masses. Initially, we formulate the coupled oscillator model and numerically search for stable periodic orbits by calculating their Floquet multipliers. Once a stable periodic orbit is identified, we compute its Phase Response Curves (PRCs) to approximate the 1:1 Arnold tongue under a periodic external perturbation. The Arnold tongue approximated using the PRCs is then compared with the one obtained through direct methods.
